We see ourselves not only as a tool and mould manufacturer, but as a service provider, who fully advises and supports its customers. As a partner, Meissner is the active link between the requirements of the product design and economic serial manufacturing. Close cooperation is our working style. Starting with product development and prototype phase to the start of production and beyond, we are there with help and advice.
The cooperation with our customers at their plant enables us to comprehend the challenges of the serial production, to assimilate and integrate them into the tool development and manufacturing.
Design and development
The manufacture of car trim parts employs a variety of techniques. Each has its peculiarities. The Meissner development team distinguishes itself with comprehensive conceptual and constructive performance. Experienced practitioners, with many years of workshop experience and training in design are complemented by engineers, some of whom have already specialized in tool and mould technology during their studies. With approximately 50 work places Meissner has engineering capabilities, which only few tool and mould manufacturers can provide. The use of modern technology with virtually all automotive industry-wide CAD systems and a CAD-based data management enables effective and efficient communication with our customers. In addition there is an intensive cooperation with institutes and universities in research and development, for example in the field of materials and manufacturing techniques.
Tool and mould manufacturing
Development times for new products are becoming ever shorter. Using the latest technologies such as rapid prototyping and high-speed milling, we implement our customers' wishes in the shortest possible time. Our modern technical equipment, in which we constantly invest together with our large supplier network make us flexible and independent.
Despite of latest machinery, the employees are the most important element of our comprehensive quality strategy in the tool and mould manufacturing, in which all departments are involved. All blue collar worker have at least one vocational qualification, to which, as a rule, the majority can add years of experience. Our quality strategy is complemented by a Meissner-specific CIP process, the employee suggestion scheme and a management system complying with DIN EN ISO 9001 and 14001.
However, we define quality not only as functionality and precision, but also as reliability and longevity. In this way our tools ensure the highest value in our customers' production. Therefore tools and moulds from Meissner are a return on investment.
Our comprehensive quality strategy is complemented by quality control during production. This starts during the design and continues through the entire manufacturing process to delivery. Again, we rely on the latest hard- and software, such as CNC controlled measuring machines and optical measuring.
Breaking-in and performance, adaption to changes in the series, repair of wear and damage - the lifelong care of our tools and moulds comes naturally to us. Moreover, our customer ser-vice ensures that every project - regardless of its size and duration - has a responsible Key Account Manager. In this way, our customers always have a competent contact. Our 24 hour hotline ensures that we are always available and responsive to our customers. Additionally and on request we train our customers in the usage of our tools to increase their understanding about the specific operation and the characteristics of tooling and mould technology. In this way, our tools and moulds also ensure a high degree of reliability and therefore an added value in pro-duction.
